Initial plans

The topic for our documentary will be Free running as an alternative sport. We feel that the appropriate target audience for this documentary would be a young audience of both men and women aged 16-21. This would target the people more enthusiastic about exercising and learning new techniques to keep fit as well as people who already know a certain aspect of the sport. The channel we thought would be the most appropriate would be channel 4, it is the channel that is most aimed at our target audience of 16-21's as relative documentaries such as about drinking etc (topics relevant to the teenage life) are scheduled on this channel therefor fitting perfectly into the style of programming. as well as this in our initial research in which we asked 30 people to fill in a questionnaire we found that our target audience watched this channel the most. The most appropriate time we found to aired the documentary would be between 8pm and 9pm. this is because during our research the 16-21's watched channel 4 the most at this specific time. this would fit between news programmes and the latest drama/comedy programme e.g Ugly Betty therefor ensuring more people would watch.
